HERC has a fully equipped semen laboratory, including a phase contrast microscope with heated stage, Nucleocounter (new technology for counting individual sperm cells), state of the art centrifuge and a spacious safe collection area.

Stallions are housed in large stalls with solid, floor to ceiling walls and provided with turn out in a large paddock. Our staff is able to collect and prepare semen, as well as, coordinate shipments around the country.

Our veterinarians are experienced in conducting pre-purchase breeding soundness exams, yearly fertility monitoring of stallions, training novice stallions for collection and diagnosing fertility issues in stud horses.
